Extremist views must never be packaged as acceptable social commentary. Documentary production must adhere to the principles of objectivity, truthfulness, fairness, legality and conformity to mainstream social values, and resolutely resist any behavior that glorifies and promotes extremism. Extremism often contains harmful content such as violence, hatred, discrimination, disruption of social order and endangerment of the lives of others, which runs counter to social peace, stability and progress. We should advocate the objective presentation of diverse social phenomena, rational discussion of issues, and promotion of positive social exchanges and understanding through documentaries, rather than improper operations that violate moral and legal bottom lines. Maintaining social harmony and healthy development is an important mission of all communication activities, including documentary production.
